A wonderful, addicting
Like RuneScape in outer space. Much better than Dark Orbit.
It is not perfect and is equivalent to an active BETA,so if you have any problems in game, post to the forums and sooner rather than later your problem will be fixed by the developers.
A wonderful, addicting, social, retro pewpewpew. Easy to learn, difficult to master. Early game is vastly different from later and you can participate in pvp as much or as little as you like. Prefer to go tête-à-tête? There's plenty of venue for it. If you're into collaboration, lots of opportunity for that too, with planet wars and co-op mode that escalates into staggering difficulty even for the most advanced.
The players themselves provide much of the entertainment and the chat is restricted to family friendly. All in all it's a fun, very social, interesting and challenging environment.
As far as gameplay goes: fly a ship, shoot a weapon, blow stuff up and try not to get killed. Honestly, Nightsky did a far better job than I ever could describing gameplay. It's free, give it a shot. You've got nothing to lose.
Fantastic space RPG definitely worth checking out.
Astroflux... A pretty nice MMO with some good qualities for these which prefer Retro-style arcade. Astroflux is unique due to its special gameplay, retro'ish but still good graphics and features.
The Gameplay is tricky at the beginning but easy to understand after the first 5 minutes. You learn the basics in the first system - Hyperion - and you will figure out how the mechanics and physics work. The overall gameplay difficulty is easy and even after the first 30 minutes you know the most behaviors of the enemies and how to fight. One negative aspect about the gameplay is the sometimes tricky and lately reactive movement due to lag spikes.
The Content is highly based on player-based items, and less on systems, game modes and maps. Over 75 Different weapons and over 40 Different ships are available to specialize yourself perfectly. Do you prefer long rage weapons? Prefer Damage over time? Or do you prefer heavy hitting close range weapons? Everything available! However, astroflux currently contains 14 Maps + 3 special maps, each with a higher difficulty, plus it does support 4 gamemodes: Co-Op Survival, Deathmatch/King of the Zone and Domination. besides of the usual PvE Maps you can also join PvP Maps. A negative aspect about the PvP is it is not restricted at a level for some maps, what makes you an easy target for every higher level.
Astroflux is also group-based at some points like Co-Op Survival, Domination or elite-boss enemies, that require a decent amount of players with some skill and level. Side-Events like Planet-Wars/Clan-Wars will keep you playing for some time
About the community i can tell a lot, lets start with the positive stuff. If you need help or a question answered, the community is always there for you. Need help with an enemy? Asking for it in the chat always grants you at least one player to help you. Need a weapon? A mission help required? No problem, one ask in the chat is enough to let people help you. The negative part is the overly aggressive behavior in the PvP systems. You stand no chance in PvP system unless you are level 120 and elite, thats why it is not recommend to play PvP outside of queues.
The graphics are simple and do run on a toaster, but they still look nice and give you a retro-feeling³. Nothing much to say about it, its simply perfect for a retro game.
The balancing is one problem in the game. There are totally useless/worthless weapons and some heavily overpowered ones. The High-to-Low Level difference is pretty highly noticeable due to stats-scaling based on level. The devs try their best to keep a base balance for the game. The game-state is more Free-To-Play than Free-To-Win, with a slight tend to Pay-To-Win, but that shouldn't bother you so much.
-=The Overall Game=-
Overall rating about the game is 85/100. There are much qualities which will keep you playing for some time. One last negative aspect is the fact that the game becomes boring after exploring all systems.

Been playing this for over a year already and its been getting better
I've played this game for many years. It's addictive, fun, and interesting. The developers are active and adding new content, and I recommend the game to anyone.
Played this game for 3 years, Totally recommend it. Best space MMORPG you can play, lots of weapons to try out & ships too.
Truly addicted. Great game with devs that stay on top of things.. One of the few not P2W games. But if you do pay, your experience will be greatly rewarded without unbalancing the game.
Very good and fun game to play, good developers that make changes from time to time to make the game more and more interesting, nice moderators, good platform, no lag (if you have a good internet provider). Lots of ships, weapons, artifacts and build types you can try. Lots of aliens to discover, planets to conquer.
Anyone can beat (pvp) anyone with any ship if you know how to build it. If you don't like pvp you can play in friendly mode, nobody is bothering you there, but pvp area gives 25% more resources :)
If you drop resources, isn't yours anymore :)))
Shoot anything that moves, but be careful, things that moves usually shoots back :))
I play this game for 2 years, and still :)
I give 100 from 100 points.
Lots of different things to do, lots of competition, not for the faint of heart. Engrossing at times, as in forget about everything else :). Highly recommend.
Really fun game and a great way to spend time! Nice graphics, a lot of content and fun quests and of course insects!!
Ich spiele dieses Spiel seit einem Jahr und bin immer noch jeden Tag dabei.
I've been playing since 2012 and absolutely love it!
The amount of freedom and things to do, together with the game design make Astroflux a unique and great game for anyone to play.
The community is always friendly and helpful, the moderators keep the chat clean from rude behaviour and the devs provide regular updates to the game.
There's also a forum and a wiki.
Played this game for over 2 years and LOVED it. So much to do, so much to explore, and a great crew of active devs :)
This is an excellent retro styled space shooter.
There are many types of ships available and numerous star systems to explore. Gather resources and upgrade your ship. You can join a clan and group with other players to take out powerful enemies, or you can play solo.
Throughout the game, there are missions that when completed, give rewards. There are also many mission-chains that give the game depth and the rewards are larger.
There are two versions of each star system; pvp and pve. In the pvp system you can shoot other players (and be shot by them). In the pve system, players can not shoot each other.
These are just a few aspects of the game.
Give it a try!
I've played this game for quite a while and don't get tired of it.
The game was much better than I expected! I love the retro graphic style!
