The Deities had foreseen its coming, yet they looked on as the greatest disaster befell mankind.

The minor villages in the past had grown tired of the major villages' monopoly on power and aligned with a treacherous missing ninja. This new alliance unleashed a beast so powerful that it destroyed all of the nations, and when there was nothing else to destroy, it turned on the very people that unleashed it. What ensued was a period of war, tinged by the dark chakra essence of the beast.
